Mangaluru, Mar 4: Professor Dr Mithra N Hegde, vice principal, head of the department, department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Nitte (Deemed to be University) was bestowed with the prestigious IACDE National Academic Excellence Award 2020 by the Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at the 35th IACDE National Conference held at Guwahati, Assam from February 26-28, 2021, appreciating her efforts as an educator that has led to the advancement of the art and sciences of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
35th IACDE National Conference was held at the Hotel Kiranshree Grand, Guwahati, Assam and was attended by Professor Dr Mithra N Hegde, vice principal, head of the department, Dr Mahalaxmi Yelapure, Dr Chitharanjan Shetty, Dr ShruthiAttavar, Dr Tony Mathew, Dr RakshaBhat, Dr Teena DSouza, Dr Preethsh Shetty, Dr Nireeksha and three postgraduate students.
Professor Dr Mithra N Hegde, was bestowed with the prestigious IACDE National Academic Excellence Award 2020 by the Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, appreciating her efforts as an educator that has led to the advancement of the art and sciences of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
Dr Mithra N Hegde conducted a pre-Conference course titled 'Magnification & Illumination in Clinical Dentistry: Concepts' on February 26, 2021 and delivered a guest lecture on 'Precision and Perfection in illumination –a clinical concept'.
Dr Nishmitha Hegde I MDS student won overall third prize for poster presentation titled 'Bond strength and microleakage analysis of Nanocomposites- A Systematic review'.
Dr Sunheri Bajpe presented paper titled 'A comparative evaluation of smear layer removal by using EDTA, Etdronic Acid, and Chitosan Nanoparticles solution as root canal irrigants : An in vitro study'.
Dr Sarvesh Ram L S presented paper titled 'Remineralisation on surface roughness of bleached enamel surface'.
