Mangaluru: House gutted in fire - No casualties, loss estimated at around Rs 20 lac

Mangaluru, Mar 6: A residential house at Tachhani cross in Talapady village caught fire all of a sudden early morning on Saturday, March 6.

The mishap took place in the house belonging to Vinay Kumar. His wife Chaitra was sleeping with their children, Dhanwin and Trishika when a noise in the living room woke them up. On realising their house had caught fire, they immediately ran out.

The roof, tiles, household items, two metal cupboards, property documents, clothes, dining table, wooden chairs, machine used to spray pesticide and utensils were completely destroyed. The estimated loss suffered in this tragedy is around Rs 20 lac.

A police case in this connection is registered at Ullal police station.

    looks like Pre-planned game. very old house estimated loss also very high. Need to have proper investigation. Looks like even insurance company employee hand also involved. They have to destroy this old house to build new house , they choose this way. Even if you win, that money is not good for your constructing new house.

    When they saw fire in house,they ran out.why did they not see where was the origin of fire and call elp immediately?Documents are lost?Strange that they didnt realize till the fire came in the dining room?Hard that whole home is guttered.May be some electric wire problems?
