Doha: Special Price Marks Vodafone Broadband Launch

Doha, Jul 15 (Gulf Times): After a month of rigorous testing of the quality of its broadband services at The Pearl-Qatar, Vodafone has now officially launched the service at the man-made island.

Residents who were enjoying ‘free high-speed Internet access’ during the trial period have been invited to continue enjoying Vodafone’s high-speed broadband services at a ‘special introductory price’ in celebration of the launch.

Until October 10, Vodafone will be providing high-speed Internet access for QR550 a month for 5Mbit/s.

After this period, Vodafone will introduce new plans of various sizes and prices to meet residents’ demands and in response to their feedback during the introductory period.

To enable residents to sign up, Vodafone’s mobile retail store is now parked at The Pearl-Qatar service road next to Tower 4, just off the boardwalk. The store is open from 5pm to 11pm, Sunday through Thursday and from 3pm to 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

Vodafone Qatar CEO, Grahame Maher said, “We are thrilled to be officially launching broadband services at the The Pearl and are very happy The Pearl’s occupants are the first people in Qatar to have the opportunity to experience high-speed Internet access from Vodafone.”

For more information on Vodafone Broadband, The Pearl’s residents can call the Vodafone customer service centre at 111 from their Vodafone mobile or 8007111 from any other phone.
