Sreeshankar breaks own long jump record, books Olympic berth


Patiala, Mar 16 (IANS): National long jump record holder Murli Sreeshankar on Tuesday booked a ticket to this year's Tokyo Olympic Games by clearing 8.26 metres on his fifth attempt and improving his own national record, at the Federation Cup here.

The Kerala athlete's previous record was 8.20 metres, set on September 27, 2018, in Bhubaneswar.
