New Delhi, Jul 16 (IANS): With the launch of Asia's first physiotherapy clinic on wheels Friday in the capital, you can now be cured of your ailments right at your doorstep.
The green and white van decorated with marigold flowers was launched by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit at her residence. The service, started by a group of physiotherapists, is called 'Physio's'.
"The vehicle, built at a cost of Rs.36 lakh, is equipped with a camera and microphone which will transmit live visuals and audio to the head office at Naraina. It is Asia's first mobile physiotherapy clinic," said Amit Sarswat, Marketing Head, Physio's.
It has imported physiotherapy equipment and an all-India permit, he added.
"The charges are Rs.600-1,000, depending on the time and distance for a visit to the patient's home or office," Sarswat said.
"We are planning to cater to the urban areas in the weekdays and rural areas in the weekends where the treatment will be free. We are also planning to launch five more such vehicles soon," he added.
