Gandhinagar, Mar 19 (IANS): Gujarat on Thursday recorded 1,276 new coronavirus cases taking its tally to 2,82,449, while the death toll climbed to 4,433, with three more succumbing.
In March so far, the state has added 12,560 cases at a daily average 698 cases as cases have gone up multi-fold since the beginning of the month.
A total of 899 patients were discharged, taking the total to 2,72,332, while there are 5,684 active cases.
Surat saw 395 new cases, Ahmedabad 304, Vadodara 129, Rajkot 113 and Jamnagar 48.
Bhavnagar had 32, Kheda and Panchmahals 25 each, Gandhinagar 24, Bharuch 21, Dahod and Mehsana 18 each, Anand and Kutch 15 each, Bharuch, Mahisagar, Narmada, and Sabarkantha 13 each, Amreli eight, Patan seven, Chotta Udepur and Morbi six each, Surendranagar and Tapi five each, Junagadh, Banaskantha, and Valsad four each, Gir-Somnath and Navsari three each, Aravalli, Dangs and Devbhoomi Dwarka two each and Porbandar and Botad one each.
Two deaths were reported from Ahmedabad and one from Surat.
Till now, 24,13,350 have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and 5,67,671 the second shot.
