Congress staring at its demise in UP elections next year

New Delhi, Mar 19 (IANS): If you thought it was impossible for the Congress to slump any further in Uttar Pradesh, here comes a reality check.

As per the IANS C-Voter tracker, the story of Uttar Pradesh politics in 2021 is about the demise of Congress under the leadership of General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

In India's largest state where the Grand Old Party is hoping against hope for a revival, it is projected to win only 4 seats in the 403 seat Uttar Pradesh Assembly if elections were to be held now.

There has been hype about the other Gandhi scion, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her natural charisma and Indira Gandhi-like demeanor but none of that seems to be working on the ground as forget a revival, the Congress is staring at a demise in Uttar Pradesh politics.

The demise of the Congress in Uttar Pradesh despite Priyanka Gandhi's stewardship is clear with the party down to 5.9 percent vote share down from 6.2 percent in 2016.

A paltry tally of 4 marks a low point for the party which is banking on India's largest state for its revival in the coming Assembly and subsequently Lok Sabha elections.

The BJP is set to win a landslide in the Assembly elections in 2022 with a tally of 289 seats.

All congress party MPs and ex ministers and party workers pockets are full since yesteryears loot. Let us not go far. Simply look at useless Oscar and moily. They do not want to work hard. Only criticize and protest, but no one cares. Again , I say Congress’ corruption is the main cause for today’s suffering.

The Congress should follow the policy of 'know your enemy'. But unfortunately its on deaf ears. The Congress banks on someone elses protest to attack the Govt, depending on a weak social media campaign and of course not to forget some beleaguered supporters, most of them on the internet forums. Meanwhile BJP is playing its cards very well in each and every aspect of campaigning. They look for long term benefits at every level and not just fire fighting . Leader for the coming elections have already been identified .From Panchayat to State to Nation they are very very active. .Minorities too are wooed and its obvious as we hear some prominent people in society shift towards the party. What more do you want. Stepping out of a luxury car once in 5 years in an Indian attire and waving at people wont garner votes. At the end you will have to contest from a place like Wayanad or Mallapuram to win on Muslim votes for survival in politics.

The Gandis should leave the politics and its not their cup of tea ! dont be embarrassed in public day and night !! GODI media is asking questions to weaker OPPOSITION party which supposedly to ask the ruling party. There is no strategy in the party and all are weak and taking advantage of the situation all over INDIA . Take the example of SIDDARAMAIah and DKSeee

Admittedly , Its a sad story of affairs. But I am not surprised. BJP and other regional parties have ground level workers that penetrate each and every home and in constant touch with the people. Congress has yet to elect a leader. Even in Mangalore , Udupi, Bantwal etc, BJP, SDPI cadres are strongly reaching out to public on a door to door campaigning for 2023 & 2024 elections. On the other hand Congress has yet to identify a leader. A weekly press conference of bashing Central Govt , just to depict that the party exists. And of course the usual bunch of internet campaigners. How will the party revive?

All the credits goes to PARTY workers who are less than slaves to only look at SONIA rather for another option to build the party ! Mostly Congress people thinking of the GANDHI and Congress is synonyms ! which is wrong ! they should think in a broader way to rebuild the party outside of GANDHI family
