Mangaluru: Faculty development programme inaugurated at Srinivas Institute of Technology

Mangaluru, Mar 22: A one-day Faculty Development Programme on 'Placement is a Process, not an event' was organized on Friday March 19 by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), here.

The chief guest of the function Tejashree, group director of Naxeva Group of Companies, Bengaluru in her inaugural address encouraged the faculty to nurture the next generation engineers by working passionately towards the placement process.

Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal and IQAC chairman of the college, in his presidential address urged the faculty members to adapt to the changes implemented in the new education policy and facilitate the students for getting a better job in reputed companies.

Dr Shivakumar G S, HOD, CS&E and IQAC director gave a brief overview of the activities of the IQAC cell and also the role of faculty in successful placement.

The programme was welcomed by Dr Shankar K S, HOD of Department of Mechanical Engineering and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Hariprakash U P, professor of the department of MBA. The entire programme was compered by Steevan Robert Tellis, professor of the department of MBA.
