Mangaluru, Mar 25: Department of Social Work, Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri and Grama Panchayath Konaje jointly organized one day program – ‘An awareness on Cancer’ on March 23 at Konaje Gram Panchayath Hall, Konaje.

Followed by this welcome speech was given by student Suma. The chief guest Shri Ramakrishna Pattori, vice-president, Konaje Grama Panchayath wished the program a success. Chanchalakshi, president, Konaje Grama Panchayath presided over the gathering. Savitha, panchayath development officer; Shalini, secretary, Konaje gram panchayat, Dr Usharani B faculty, department of Social Work, Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri were present.

After the inaugural session a speech on awareness was delivered by the resource person Maria Shanthi Fernandez, faculty, department of Social Work, Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri. Sachin, a student from the department delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was managed with the beautiful anchoring by Swathi.
