Bengaluru: CM Yediyurappa to head crucial meet on curbing corona on Mar 29

Bengaluru, Mar 28: Chief minister Yediyurappa has called the meeting of ministers and zonal in-charges in the wake of the increasing incidents of coronavirus in the state. The meeting will be held at his home office Krishna at 5 pm on Monday, March 29. There are chances that tougher regulations may be introduced.

Speaking on the subject, health minister Dr Sudhakar said, "In the meeting that will be held on Monday, home minister, revenue minister and education minister and I will discuss the matter with the chief minister. We are aware of the lockdown that is imposed Maharashtra. We will discuss all the issues with the chief minister.

"From four weeks we were getting 300 new cases of coronavirus infection. Now it has gone upto 3,000 suddenly. The action which we have taken is not enough. We have to have stringent rules on borders of the state as well as those arriving into the capital city. I have discussed this matter with the home minister. On Monday, we will bring this to the notice of chief minister also.

"Coronavirus second wave infections are on rise in Maharashtra. We will take steps in hospitals of our state also. Necessary measure have to be put in place for the next six to eight weeks. We have got reports from the technical advisory committee also. Central government has clear instructions not to seal the borders but strict action will be put in place.

"Variant of coronavirus had appeared in Karnataka also. But the African variant has not entered. The virus that is intense in causing fatalities has not arrived but the one which spreads rapidly has made its appearance in the state.

"Government has instructed to pass all the students from first to ninth standard from this academic year. I do not know about passing without examinations. I will discuss this matter with the education minister," he said.

    Monty Dotor.... extra-marital affairs cover wide spectrum of extra marital sex, dance bars, ladies bars, flesh trade, massage parlours etc. these activities do not allow social distancing / mask and these are mostly inside closed spaces with close contact among unknown persons... this 'sector' has opened up and may be one of the major contributors to second wave...
