Mumbai, Mar 29: Kannada Kala Kendra celebrated World Theatre Day at the mini auditorium of the Sangha at Sion on Saturday. Veteran drama artiste and playback singer Jayasheela Suvarna was the chief guest.
Senior drama artiste Narayana Shetty Nandalike, Dr G P Kusuma, Navin Shetty Innabalike, Geeta L Bhat, Gopal Trasi and Jagadish D Rai were the guests of honour.
President of the centre, Madhusoodan T R presided over the programme. Ganesh Kumar and S Daya enacted a Thayi Vina Maga scene of the Mahamayi drama written by Chandrashekar Kambara.
Member of the centre, Beemaraya Chilka welcomed the gathering. Yakshagana artiste, honorary chief secretary of the centre, Ramesh Birthi compered the programme and rendered a vote of thanks.
