Surat: Karnataka Friends Cricketers Surat holds second annual KFCS Trophy 2021 tournament

Surat, Apr 3: Karnataka Friends Cricketers Surat hosted the second annual cricket tournament KFCS trophy – 2021 at L P Savani playground on March 28 especially for Kannadigas settled in Gujarat.

There were seven teams in the limited-overs tournament. Hotel Honey Garden Daman team and KFC-B team were the finalists. Hotel Honey Garden Daman team were the winners with Rs 25 thousand cash prize and a shield. KFC-B team was the runner-up with shield and cash prize.

Tulunada Aisiri Vapi president, Balakrishna S Shetty, honorary secretary, Udaya Shetty and other elite people were present. Hotel Honey Garden team promoter, Sukesh A Shetty and team members received the trophy.

Social worker, hotelier Shivarama Shetty Surat inaugurated the tournament. Chetan Kumar, Ranjith Shetty, Avinash Shetty, Shravan Kumar and Sunil D’Souza performed well for their teams. Gujarat Billava Sangha president, Manoj C Poojary, entrepreneur and philanthropist Shashidhar Shetty Baroda, Ajith Shetty, Ramachandra Shetty, Radhakrishna Shetty, Jayant Shetty, Dinesh B Shetty, Balakrishna Shetty Surat, Radhakrishna Moolya, Sunil Shetty, Prashanth Shetty, Jagadish Rai and others sponsored the tournament.

Residents hailing from Karnataka and settled in Ahmedabad, Baroda, Vapi, Daman, Silvasa, Valsad, Surat, Ankleshwar and other places along with KFCS members were present.
