Kasargod: Peaceful polling in progress for Kerala legislative assembly election

Kasargod, Apr 6: Voters are casting their votes for the Kerala legislative assembly election. In the five constituencies of the district a good percentage of polling has taken place in the first hour. Long queue was noticed in the polling booths right from morning on Tuesday April 6.

There are 10.59 lac voters who will exercise their franchise in 1,691 polling booths of the district. As many as 38 candidates are in contention for the five legislative constituency seats.

Peaceful polling is going on in the district. Candidates cast their votes in the morning itself. Till 9.15 am 14.23% of voting is done.

CPI candidate of Kanhangad E Chandrashekharan casted his vote in the 33rd booth at Koliadka government school. UDF candidate of Kasargod N A Nellikunnu casted his vote at Nellikunje government higher secondary school booth. BJP candidate of Kasargod constituency K Srikanth casted his vote in the 105th booth of Bekala government fisheries school. LDF candidate M A Latif casted his vote at Pallikere Kallingal government Mapilla U P School. LDF candidate of Uduma C H Kunjambau casted his vote at the 156th polling booth of Anangur GLP school. UDF candidate of Manjeshwar A K M Ashraf cast his vote in the polling booth of Kadambaru school.
