Mangaluru: 'Global Commercial Center' - Customer-friendly market comes up in Kallapu

Mangaluru, Apr 10: Global Commercial Centre, a customer-friendly market in the model of Prime Minister's Atmanirbhar Bharat at Kallapu will be launched soon, said Aboobakar Siddique, promoter, Global Commercial Centre.

The market is constructed over 1.5 acres of land on 5 acres of open land. It is a joint venture of Global Commercial Centre and HNGC Builders & Developers.

Speaking at a press meet Siddique said, "The poor, middle-class and working-class have faced huge economic crises due to the pandemic. In order to help these classes of people, a customer-friendly market is being constructed on the side of the National Highway in Kallapu. There are nearly 247 shops in the market which would facilitate the retail and wholesale business of vegetables, groceries, and other products. The construction of the market completed within 90 days."
 
















 


















 
"The market consists of a full-fledged parking facility, a restroom for the drivers, a dispensary, CCTV cameras, food facility in the canteen at an affordable price, bathroom, advanced toilet facility, good lighting and eight security personnel will be deployed for the security of the market," he told.

Further, the waste produced in the market will be used as fertilizer, a private company from Kerala has come forward to set up a solid and liquid waste treatment unit where the waste will be segregated and used as fertilizer. Importance will be given to the cleanliness and hygiene in the market.

He also said that deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra KV, MLA UT Khader visited the market and lauded the initiative.

Ullal City Municipal Council president, Chitrakala K, vice-president, Ayub also spoke during the occasion.

Ahmed Mansoor, speaking on the occasion said that the project would facilitate the employment of many youths in the city.

    This is a wrong time to open new shops as already, those which closed down due to losses, are up for rent or sale throughout the city; there's a big glut in the realty mkt with many parties ready for distress sale to settle loans!
