Media Release

Mangaluru, Apr 10: Maryhill chapel echoed with blessings during the thanksgiving eucharistic celebration when Mount Carmel Central School came together to bid farewell to the students of class X and XII (2020-2021).

This fiesta was devoted to the years spent together and to reminisce the multifarious struggles and triumphs of school life. Fr Roopesh Madtha made the celebration very meaningful and relevant. The heavenly choir by the students added divinity to the liturgy.

Students of class IX and XI organized the farewell with great enthusiasm leaving a trail of nostalgia behind them. As the students entered the auditorium holding little lamps, the atmosphere was filled with lights invoking the divine aura. Steering the wheel to the right path, the programme began with a prayer song enlightening the magnanimity of God. Weaving warm words of welcome and making every heart smile, Bhavin of class XI welcomed the gathering followed by a graceful welcome dance. Tuning melodies and tapping to its rhythm, singers of class IX enthralled the audience with their music. Then a wonderful drama was staged by class XI reflecting the humorous disparities of online and offline classes.

A student representative of class X and class XII respectively delivered their message of love and gratitude to their alma mater with a token of gratitude. Making sense of the past and creating a vision for tomorrow, Tasmai delivered the vote of thanks.

The students were then addressed by Sr Carissima, the administrator of the school, who in her speech captured the essence of life at school and the journey that begins with it, through a heartwarming speech.

The programme was compared by Risha, Ruth, Vineeth and Arav.

A token of love and memory was presented to every student of class X and XII by the school followed by a get-together which they cherished during the pandemic year.
