Udupi: Mary D'Souza elected as new president of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh

Udupi, Apr 12: Mary D'Souza was elected as the president of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, an influential organization of the Christian community, for the year 2021-22. She is the first woman president after the Udupi diocese was formed.

The election of office bearers took place at the Mother of Sorrows Church in the city on Sunday. Past president Allwyn Quadros was the election officer.

The other officer bearers are Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves (spiritual director), Robert Menezer Kanajaru (immediate past president), Santhosh Cornelio Santhekatte (president-designate), Ronald D'Almeida Udyavar (vice president), Gregory Prabhudhh Kumar D'Souza (chief secretary), Olivia D'Mello Karkala (joint secretary), Jerald Rodrigues Shirva (treasurer), Michael Pinto Kundapur (joint treasurer) and Felix Pinto Kemmannu (internal auditor).
