Mumbai, Apr 12: Owners of two liquor outlets were booked for keeping their shops open and allegedly flouting Covid-19 directives. The police said that such establishments are permitted to sell online or through home delivery, but despite the directives, a crowd assembled to purchase alcohol at the outlets.
Senior inspector Sunayna Nate of Vakola police station said that the two were arrested under section 188 (disobeying the order of public servant) and 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection) of IPC.
The two liquor shop owners were released later, police added.
