Brahmavar, Apr 14: Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math on Wednesday, April, 14 inaugurated two bus shelters, constructed at a cost of Rs 6 lac by a newspaper distributor Chandrashekar Mayya in the memory of his grandparents.

Mayya had constructed two bus shelters, one in the memory of his late grandfather Narasimha Tunga in front of Eshwara Math adjacent to Udupi-Kundapur road and the other in the memory of his late grandmother Nagaveeniamma near Church School on the stretch of Kundapur-Udupi road in Pandeshwara.

After inaugurating the bus shelters, the Pejawar seer said, "The social service done towards society without any expectation is equivalent to offering prayers to the God. The bus shelter constructed in the memory of grandparents is a noble service by Mayya. Everyone should extend such services to the society."

Speaking on the occasion, Fr John Walter Mendonca of St Antony Church, Sasthan said, "Every human should possess the need to be of service to the society. Every religion preaches to help others. The service of Mayya to society is a noble work."

Sharing his thoughts on the day, Mayya said, "My grandparents would offer water and jaggery to people who would travel by foot to reach their distance. They would also provide them with a place to rest. My grandparents being my role model, these bus shelters are a small way to walk their path."

During this occasion, name plaques were unveiled.

Purohit Madusudan Bayari, Mayya's mother, wife Archana Mayya, Naga Patri Subramanya Madhyasta, and others were present. Abhijith Pandeshwar compered the programme.

Sir ..with due respect ..Please stop this bus stand construction business .. Better find some potholes on the road and fill it . or Visit a Old age home and spend some time there ..(Not show off your so called kindness) ..OTher area of contribution is cleanliness drives in and around your place. Do this on a continual basis ..Week after week. Do not do it for a week and stop it.
