Bahrain, Jul 31: Bahrain Cricket Association (BCA) held a 7-a-side softball cricket tournament for women at the Al Ahli Stadium Sports Hall recently. The winners of this tournament were ‘Bahrain Colts’ who defeated ‘Karavali Friends’ by a margin of 30 runs.
The ‘Lady of the Tournament’ and the ‘Lady of the Finals’ was awarded to Harsh Mehta of Bahrain Colts.
The ‘Best Bowler’ of the tournament was awarded to Anitha Rodrigues of Bahrain Colts.
The ‘Best Bats Lady’ of the tournament was awarded to Melissa of ‘Papillon’.
This is the second straight win for the Bahrain Colts, a recently formed team, under the captaincy of Shivani Mishra.
A ‘Cricket Fiesta’ which includes a children’s under-15 cricket tournament, women’s cricket tournament, and men’s cricket tournament will be held on October 15, 2010.
