Mangaluru: Carmel School celebrates 130th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar

Mangaluru, Apr 15: 'Cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence'. “I like the religion that teaches liberty, equality and fraternity” The 130th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar, the architect of the ‘Constitution of India’ was marked at Carmel School on April 14 by the faculty.

The programme began with a prayer song and the lighting of the lamp by Sr Sarika, the principal, Sr Rose Agnes, the administratrator and Sr Marline, Karunakar, Vijetha.

Readings from various scriptures were recited and the faculty prayed for all the needs of our country, thanking God for the contributions of Dr Ambedkar. Liffin annotated the significance of the day. The programme ended with a bhajan.
