Udupi: Thieves break into Brahmavar fish cutting factory, escape with valuables

Udupi, Apr 21: Khateeb Mohammed Aseem and two others had constructed a temporary fish cutting shed on the land belonging to Hariprasad Shetty beside the Gandhinagar lake, Haradi gram, Brahmavar. A half-wall was constructed around it so that 150 women can sit and work.

As sufficient fish was not available during the last two months, the items used in the shed were kept inside and the shed was temporarily locked.

Maimuna B who was a cook in the shed lived nearby. She used to visit the place once every two days.

Unidentified thieves entered the shed in the intermittent period between 10 am on April 12 and 5.30 pm on April 18 breaking open the front door of the shed and stole a 20 KV Ashok Leyland generator worth Rs 80,000, four fish cutting tables worth Rs 30,000, four aluminium vessels worth Rs eight thousand, a dinner plate worth Rs 150, valuables worth Rs 3,750, three HP gas cylinders worth Rs 6,000, a gas stove worth Rs 1,500 and a grinder worth Rs 2,000. The total cost of the items stolen is Rs 1,31,250.

A police case under registration No 58/2021 under IPC sections 454, 457 and 380 is registered at Brahmavar police station in this connection.

    I am sure it is the work of insider who knew about the factory?How they could they do it withut anybodys knowledge.?Findout about someone all of a sudden got rich or playing with money.Didnt they have any cctv camera around?In or out?
