Mangaluru, Apr 21: To contain the spread of the second wave of Covid-19, police commissioner N Shashi Kumar issued prohibitionary order under Section 144 of Cr PC from April 21 to May 4, for a period of 14 days from 9 pm to 6 am during weekdays (Monday to Friday) and on weekends from Friday 9 pm to 6 am of Monday under the limits of Mangaluru police commissionerate.

Only the vehicles ferrying essential services and emergency service will be allowed.
The persons who are suffering from health-related illnesses will be allowed to travel along with a helper. The persons who work night shifts in companies and factories will be allowed to travel given that they have an ID card from their concerned firm or factory.
Only medical stores and those providing emergency services will be allowed to operate, commercial activities are not permitted.
Those who have to go to the bus stand, railway station or the airport will have to carry essential documents like bus, train or flight tickets.
Theatres, shopping malls, gymnasium, sports complex, swimming pools will remain closed.
Restriction during weekend curfew
All the state/union government employees and Corona Warriors should compulsorily have their ID cards with them on their commute.
All factories and companies will run as usual. The employees of these companies and factories will be allowed to travel. They should carry their company ID cards or have a letter from the respective company or factory.
The persons who are suffering health-related illness will be allowed to travel to seek necessary treatment along with their helper.

Only 50 people are allowed to participate in weddings. While only 20 people are permitted for funerals.
