Kundapur: Aadhar card collection when distributing marriage invitations compulsory

Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Apr 23: The people when distributing marriage invitations will have to collect Aadhar cards of the guests. Because, as per the new rules, the government has stipulated maximum number of guests who can be present in outdoor and indoor marriages. Pass is compulsory for the guests.

Those who organize the marriages have to approach the designated officer. As many as 50 Aadhar cards of people who would be participating in the marriage has to be provided along with a list of guests. On this basis, 50 passes are issued. Guests are allowed inside marriages only against the production of passes. When the nodal officers visit the venue to check, cases are planned to be registered if there are people without passes or if the number of guests exceeds the maximum stipulated. The Aadhar cards have to be collected when giving invitations, and the hosts do not have the choice of accommodating someone else when certain pass holders fail to make an appearance.

Deputy commissioner of the district, G Jagadeesha, clarified that Aadhar cards are not needed. He said that only a list of 50 guests has to be provided, on the basis of which passes would be issued. He said that the officials concerned would be told not to demand Aadhar cards for the issuance of passes.

Marriages have been lined up now as auspicious functions were not held here for the last some weeks as the period was not suited as per the Hindu calendar. On Thursday, a huge rush was witnessed at the taluk office to collect passes for these functions.

Aadhaar card as well as passport is strictly a personal property. Whoever haa made this rule is violating a citizen's personal rights. Please resist this move. Let them take photocopy or just the number, if they want.

I have some doubt about this Aadhar cards collection and Passes. Why should collect Aadhar card for invitees and Passes?Instead of all this drama ,simply ask invitees to bring their Aadhar card with when they come to the hall.finished.Do these ministers also do come with their card or Pass? One should nt make it complicated as it is.Suppose one collects their card to make Pass then it might get lost by mistake or someone may make misuse of it .why only Aadhar card?Dont we have other ID card?Even a invitation card itself can be used as ID CARD:In it is name of invitee is there.Simply complications where it is not needed.

Only for ordinary people..... I by mistake switched yesterday to Republic News in their news they claim that the Covid-19 is spread by the protesting farmers while there is no single case of Corona among them and another news is the super spreaders are TMC leaders it is due to their election campaigning but not a single word from the barking dogs against BJP election campaigning niether Kumbh Mela gethering or some other getherings. I would like to curse Republic News dogs they are the real spreaders .....
