Udupi: Three people abuse, attack civic worker - Complaint filed

Udupi, Apr 23: In an incident reported at Ambalpady, three people allegedly abused and attacked a civic worker after waylaying the solid waste collection vehicle.

The incident was reported near an apartment at Ambalpady. According to a complaint filed by civic worker Suresh, he is working in Udupi City Municipal Council. On Thursday April 22, when he was driving the vehicle along with assistant Manju near an apartment in Ambalpady, three people (including one male and two female) who came on a motorbike, waylayed the solid waste collection van, abused and attacked him.

As per the complaint, police have registered a case under section 341, 504, 323, 34 of IPC and 391)(r),3(1)(S), 3(2)(v-a) of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

    This kind of attitude is started in our educated place Udupi-Mangalore from May-June 2014 till date. ...and slogan is like ...."अंधेर नगरी....चौपट राजा".........in Central as well as our State here also.
