Apr 23: Dakshina Kannada reports 485 fresh corona cases, Udupi records 282

Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 23: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 485 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday raising the tally to 40,203. Out of these, 3,187 cases are currently active.

A total of 7,07,544 samples have been tested. Out of which 6,67,341 are negative.

As many as 123 people were discharged on Friday, A total of 745 deaths have occurred so far.

Around Rs 50,15,330 in fines have been collected so far.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 28,039, including 282 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 1,265 cases are currently active.

Over 4,81,570 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 182 patients were discharged on Friday. A total of 194 deaths have occurred so far.

    What is this? Before Govt hospital wasted so many dose of vaccine that also free then people don't want to take it . Now they rush to to take and protesting . Month back No mask No hand wash all open full functions and open crowded festivals. Now they realize what is it. CORONA

    No ..not months back till last week....everything was happening and people weren't with mask....Masks were either in the pocket or on the neck. I was watching from far a lady sneezed nicely in one of the gatherings and afterwards on questioning her she put it on her face.....Buses, while walking, malls mostly people were without mask and not maintaining the distance. This may be because people too got confused as there were no bans on social gatherings and people thought nothing will happen this time. This is the outcome of our negligence...

    The rise in cases in DK have begun. The peak in 3 tier cities shall begin soon. But i dont see our elected mla or mp anywhere in the scene. Every assurance being given by DC and police commissioner only
