Kundapur: Fruit stall gutted due to electrical short circuit

Kundapur, Apr 24: In an electrical mishap that occurred on the morning of Saturday April 24, a fruit shop was gutted at Neralakatte market near here.

The fruit shop that belonged to Suresha Poojary went up in flames due to an electrical short circuit. The fire was noticed suddenly. The gas cylinder which was kept inside the shop burst because of the intensity of the fire. Before the fire service personnel could reach the spot, part of the shop was gutted. It is estimated that the loss is around Rs two lac.

A case in this regard is registered at Kandloor police station.
