Gulbarga, Aug 5: Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has alleged that the then Governor Rameshwar Thakur has removed the names of the Congressmen including N Dharam Singh involved in the illegal mining in the state from the list in the interim report submitted by lokayukta. We will approach Supreme Court and the President Pratibha Patil on the issue, he added.
Speaking to reporters here CM said that it has been difficult to curb illegal mining in the state and therefore state decided to ban the export of iron ore. He urged the centre to respond to the same.
Commenting on the Congress padayatra, Yeddyurappa said that the campaign has left the public troubled and are revolting against the same. It is unfortunate that Congress leaders are into maligning mine and the government's reputation using the opportunity to attack me with abusive and crude language.
