Don't fall prey to misinformation on Covid: PM

New Delhi, Apr 25 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday appealed to countrymen to seek all Covid related information only through correct sources and not to fall prey to misinformation.

Addressing the nation in the 76th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat', Modi said, "If you need any information, if you have any apprehension, get the information only from the correct source."

He said that for the right information one can consult one's family doctor or doctors in the neighbourhood on the phone. "I am noticing that many of our doctors are taking upon themselves this responsibility, on their own to educate people. Many doctors are providing information to people through social media. They are counselling on the phone and WhatsApp. Many hospitals have websites where information is available. You can seek advice from doctors too," he said.

The Prime Minister informed the countrymen that in the days gone by, to tide over this crisis, he had long deliberations with experts from various sectors.

"People from our Pharma industry, vaccine manufacturers, those connected with oxygen production, experts from the medical field have put forth their valuable suggestions to the government. This time, to emerge victorious in this battle, we have to accord priority to experts and scientific advice," he said.

Modi explained that the Government of India is using its entire might to give a fillip to the endeavours of State Governments and the State Governments too, are trying their best to fulfil their responsibilities.

"Presently, the country's doctors and health workers are waging a colossal battle against Corona," the Prime Minister said.

He also appealed to people not to fall prey to any rumour about the vaccine. "All are getting aware of the importance of the vaccine, so it is my appeal, don't get swayed by any rumour about the vaccine," he said.

He further stated: "You all must be knowing that people above 45 years of age can benefit from the free vaccine that has been sent to all state governments by the government of India."

He highlighted that now from May 1 onwards, the vaccine is going to be made available for every person above 18 years in the country. Now the Corporate Sector, companies too will be able to participate in the programme of administering the vaccine to their employees.

"I also want to say that the programme of free vaccine by the government of India, that is going on now, will continue further too. I appeal also to the states to extend the benefit of this free vaccine campaign of the Government of India to a maximum number of people of their state," the Prime Minister said.

He mentioned that after successfully confronting the first wave of Corona, the country was full of enthusiasm, full of self-confidence, but this storm (second wave) has shaken the country.

During his monthly radio programme, Modi interacted with doctors, nurses and other health care workers.

World, left leaning WHO and communist chinese only run on fake news or self centered news and people and one world leaders believe that virus was not leaked or deliberately released from Wuhan. Instead of it being a bio-weapon, it is from rat, bat and cat and for this leaked virus globalist elites saving vaccines, only healthimpactnews gives correct vaccine injury or death news refering various countries governments Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). May be governments expects 1, 2 % deaths but if increased exponentially when these ruthless communist chinese, elites and eugenics release second part of this binary virus in their greed to control the world or new world order?

Nothing new. Good and evil are the two faces of the same coin. One can not exist without other. It is in existence from the very foundation of the universe. You might be a new player in this old game.

I don't think anybody is going to take this man seriously any more. He has been reduced to a laughing stock. If one measures his chest now, perhaps it would have shrunk to 5.6" from the so called 56". So pathetic has been his performance.

The Prime Minister was busywith his election campaign while people are battling against the worst wave of COVID. The lack of planning and preparation between the first and the second wave is the worst act of negligence of an incompetent government. The Prime Minister has completely failed to provide a sense of safety, direction or leadership during this massive human crisis we are facing. It is shocking that just day before yesterday, he was on a public stage addressing thousands of people with no covid protocol and laughing while doing so. What is there to laugh about? The entire country is in tears. There are no hospital beds available, medicines are running short, crematoriums are full, frontline workers are exhausted...

The PM has rightly said there should not be misinformation. But all information for election/melas with held and results is spike in positive cases and death and going to increase. There's no preperation for uncertainty for past report. PM minister is condemn for past 70 years. Past one year unpreparedness to be condemned by PM. The present there's no solution and future is uncertain. The results from Bengal Assam Kerala and Tamil Nadu Uttar Pradesh is coming and yet to come on pandemic for which PM/HM is fully responsible. At least now onwards speak truth for your own good. We don't want orators. FM husband support your failures. For the good og india and it's citizens better leave posts when you can get work. PM please speak truth and truth alone.you have no solution for present and uncertainty in future

Which should be corrected as : ": DON'T FALL PREY TO PM's MISINFORMATION ON COVID" Not a single countries PM will be engaged so busily in election rallies, when whole Country is facing so difficult time and citizens were dying due to lack of Oxygen. At least you could have arranged the Oxygen by your latest technology of Turbines separation of water and oxygen from the atmosphere!!! Wah Modiji Wah! Modi Hai toh Mumkin hai, Har Har Modi, Oxygen Modi !!!
