M'lore: Sangeeth Sardar Wilson Olivera's 30th Musical Show at Bendore on Jan 9

Mangalore, Aug 5: The beginning of January always calls for celebrations, with people still welcoming the New Year. However, the beginning of the year 2011 will call for a double celebration in Bendore here with ‘Sangeeth Sardar’ Wilson Olivera, Padukone to perform magnanimously at his 30th musical show at St Agnes Special School ground on January 9 2011 at 6:30pm.

Olivera has been awarded with the prestigious, ‘Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Award in 2003’ and ‘Divo Sahitya Puraskar in 2008’ among others with over 800 compositions of his own in Konkani. He has been bestowed with titles such as ‘Sangeeth Sardar’ by Expressions, Barkur and ‘Konkan Manik’ by KVWA, Kuwait.

Leaving no stone unturned in the Konkani music world Wilson Olivera has captured many Konkani music lovers' hearts not only with his meaningful lyrics but also with his melodious voice which has often been compared to the legendary Konkan Kogul late Wilfy Rebimbus.

With outstanding performances across different parts of the globe and countries such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Mumbai, Bangalore and  Mangalore, Olivera is now ready to set the stage
ablaze with yet another mind-blowing performance at Mangalore. The show is organized by Alfred Bennis, Kelarai
