Mangalore: Exhibition of Paintings by Vishwas M Bhat from Aug 6

Mangalore, Aug 5: ‘Whispering Wonders’, a preview of the exhibition of paintings by Vishwas M Bhat will be held at Orchid Art Gallery, Balmatta here on Friday August 6.

D K Chowta, writer and former secretary, Chitrakala Parishat, Bangalore will be the chief guest. The exhibition will be open from August 6 to 16 for public viewing.


About Vishwas M Bhat

Vishwas M Bhat completed his Bachelor of Fine arts from the Srijana Fine Arts College, Dharwad.  Full time in the pursuit of art, Vishwas has around 17 group shows to his credit besides participating in numerous camps. Winner of copper medal in national level art camp held in Ujjaini, he went on to win cash awards in Himachal Art Heritage for three consecutive years.

Hailing from Kasargod in Kerala Vishwas’ house is surrounded by expanse of greenery which finds dominance in his paintings. Whispering wonders is his first solo show in his art career. It is a dramatic presentation of bounty of nature told in lucid way. Soothing application of colours whisper the richness of Mother Nature which one need to enjoy, preserve and pass on to the future.

“‘I have a deep bond with my green surroundings. I find solace in whispering nothings in the company of trees and greens. The canvas is the result of this bond of surroundings”, says Bhat.
