Several queue up outside liquor shops in Mangaluru after curfew announcement

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Apr 26: People habituated to liquor struggled for it during the last lockdown. They were afraid if the situation would be the same this time. Therefore, when chief minister B S Yediyurappa announced a lockdown, they are running towards wine shops.

People are flocking to the Wine Gate at Bejai and other places all of a sudden.

The state government has permitted them to carry parcels of liquor this time. The facility is available only in the city. As liquor is not available in other districts, people are seen waiting in a queue at the wine shops to keep a stock of liquor.
