Battle against Covid, not Congress: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Apr 27 (IANS): Stepping up the attack on the government on the issue of coronavirus management, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that the fight is against Covid, not Congress.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "The Modi government must realise that the battle is against Covid, it is not against the Congress or other political opponents."

The Congress has alleged that the government has mishandled the whole issue and the patients are being denied treatment and there is shortage of oxygen beds and essential medicine.

The party said it has set up control room to coordinate with PCC control rooms and provide assistance and relief to the people infected with coronavirus. Congress president Sonia Gandhi has appointed four persons to man the control room. They are Manish Chatrath, Ajoy Kumar, Pawan Khera and Gurdeep Singh Sappal.

The Congress statement said, this group of four persons will coordinate the relief activities of various state control rooms.

    Immediate future generation is going to miss the acche Din we enjoyed during MMS rule. Those who think we don't need educated leaders, should stop giving education to their kids. Agree or disagree but we had bright future if we had a PM like MMS. I strongly believe we are destroying what we got and leaving behind nothing for next generation.

    Baliga, when this illiterate Fakir opens his mouth, you have no words. This Feku brought up by selling tea (according to himself) and he will end up selling India as well. Chaiwala becomes a Guajarati when he is in Gujarat, becomes a Bengali when he is in WB, Kannadiga when in Karnataka, what a joke!! The people who sit in America and pretend they are in Udupi do not have to worry at all?? It is the people of India who are facing the problem. Even when it is under reported, still every third person is tested positive for Covid 19. The death count is severely under reported to save the face. People only talk about Corona death which is under reported but do you what happens to those who need Chemotherapy, dialysis, Cardiac procedures, liver transplants? These people are just dying with no medical staff/bed for them to be in the hospital. These deaths are not even counted, forget about the suicides. You, a blind bhakth, do not even have humanity to accept the fact that it is the failure from the central government from day 1, that we are in this situation. If you're still hanging to cheddi, God will show you his wrath for sure. You will know the pain of people here in India when you or your loved ones gets the slap from Corona.

    What prevented the states ruled by opposition to take necessary precautions? It is easier to do postmortem and pointing fingers at others. Who stopped Mamatha, Thakare & RaGa comble and all others who are flagging it as failure of PM. If only PM has to take action, why about 40 CMs are required? Are they only show pieces?

    The lack of planning and preparation between the first and the second wave is the worst act of negligence of an incompetent government. The Prime Minister has completely failed to provide a sense of safety, direction or leadership during this massive human crisis we are facing. It is shocking that just day before yesterday, he was on a public stage addressing thousands of people with no covid protocol and laughing while doing so. What is there to laugh about? The entire country is in tears. There are no hospital beds available, medicines are running short, crematoriums are full, frontline workers are exhausted... Blaming the Congress has lost all its face value given that six and half years have elapsed for this Govt in power and given that Modi wanted to take all the credit with the 21 days lockdown in 2020 with Thali Bajao, Ganti Bajao etc High time Modi accepts responsibility for this Monumental failure.

    Yes true. i have seen human crisias in selected TV channels.May be they got tie up with corona virus. And corona also very intelligent It attacked Delhi our capital city, Mumbai our business city and Gujarath our prime minsiters state badly. If it is affected other states, corona will not get full coverage in TV channels for its game.

    Ethnic orchard: offcourse Maharashtra government has contained it, everyone criticized chief minister when he enforced lockdown but see the results, cases have come down, in Maharashtra the people condition is not as bad as UP and Gujrat, see even your BJP ruled Karnataka government has enforced a lockdown for 2 week's, why did all chief ministers copy what udhav Thackeray did. Don't just criticize because he is not a BJP ruled state.
