Mangalore, Aug 6: Karnataka coast enjoyed sunny weather for most part Thursday August 5. A couple of brief spells of rain during the day and again at night were however, experienced.

Three coconut trees got uprooted due to sea erosion in Bada village of Udupi taluk. A person named Sankappa Gowda (58) from Shirankal village of Kanyana village near Vittal, accidentally fell from the foot bridge laid across Erusaru rivulet on Wednesday night and lost his life. He was returning home at night after locking his petty shop in Kanyana, when the accident occurred. His body was found nearly two kms away from the spot where he had fallen down.
