Kasargod, Apr 30: As Covid spiked in the district, deputy commissioner Dr D Sajith Babu announced prohibitory orders under section CRPC 144 in 23 limits of the local administration including Nileshwar and Kanhangad municipal council.

The prohibitory orders banning people gathering in groups will be in force till midnight on May 6 at Kanhangad, Nileshwar municipal council limits, gram panchayats Madhur, Mangalpady, Chengala, Cedadka, Ajanoor, Balal, Cheruvathur, East Aleri, Kallar, Pallikere, Uduma, Padanna, Kayyar-Chimeni, Kinanoor-Karindalam, Kodom-Beloor, Trikaripur, West Aleri and Pilikode.
