These are the 'One District One Green Champion' Awards which will be announced by the collector of the district. It is worthwhile to mention here, that the Swachhata rankings exercise under Swachhta Action Plan has been initiated by the department of Higher Education (under HRD ministry) to generate healthy peer pressure among higher educational institutions for keeping and maintaining hygienic campuses so that the environment for student learning becomes clean and leads to higher thinking.
