Beltangady: CEO of Service Cooperative Bank ends life at 57

Beltangady, May 3: The chief executive officer (CEO) of Dharmasthala Service Cooperative Bank, Ravindran D (57) took the extreme step of ending his life on Monday, May 3.

He had reported for work on Monday morning at 7.30 am. However, somewhere around noon, his lifeless body was found hanging in the association's auditorium.

Ravindran D is a resident of the Dharmastala Boliyar area which was declared as a containment zone on Sunday. The exact cause of the suicide is not known. More details into the matter would be revealed once the probe is undertaken.

Ravindran is survived by his wife, two daughters and scores of relatives.

    My only request is please don't make any assumptions for the cause of his death until real reason is known. Now some will comment high inflation, unemployment..... It's very disrespectful

    It is a sad incident. By committing suicide you may be solving your own problems...but you are creating hell a lot of problems for your immediate family. One must think about this and fight the problems and not shying away from the problems, which you may have created by yourself. Face it till the end which is not in your hands. This message is not for the person who is dead, but for the living Individuals.
