Bantwal, May 4: A meeting of Kadeshwalya gram panchayat and Barimar gram panchayat task force over Covid management was held in the leadership of MLA Rajesh Naik at panchayat premises on Tuesday, May 4.
The MLA said that there are five Covid cases in the Kadeshwalya panchayat limits and one in Barimar gram panchayat limits at present. “We should make sure that those do not increase further. Covid positive patients will be accommodated to stay at their residences or at care centres that will be opened. We should be cautious about people arriving from outside the district or state. The task force meeting should be held once a week,” he said.
“Ration will arrive soon. People should not crowd when it will be distributed,” said tahsildar Rashmi S R.
ASHA workers were asked to inform of issues faced during house visits. The MLA asked for clarifications from senior officials about the absence of police personnel in the meeting. “Covid task force is authorized to take action during covid protocol violations and police should make sure that all the people follow the regulations,” he said. He sought cooperation from local people for Covid management.
