Bengaluru woman comes to Mangaluru hunting for hospital bed, loses husband

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, May 7: A woman from Bengaluru, who shuttled between hospitals in Bengaluru searching for a bed for her husband suffering from breathing difficulties, failed to get either a bed or an ambulance. Then she got an ambulance from Mangaluru and came here to save her husband, but her efforts went in vain.

Kavita's husband, Ravishankar, a resident of Ayyappa Nagar in K R Puram, suffered from breathing difficulties on Wednesday. Kavita took him to Patil Hospital. As Ravishankar's pulse rate was 86, he was referred to super speciality hospital. But there they said they do not have bed or oxygen and advised her to take him to East Point Hospital. "I carried my husband on a scooter, but had to return home after visiting several hospitals as I failed to get a bed," she said.

She said that her husband showed some signs of improvement from Wednesday afternoon till 5 pm but by 6 pm the problem aggravated. She called for an ambulance but she got the reply that she was on the waiting list. She made about ten calls but every time she got the same response. She then arranged for an ambulance from Mangaluru with help from her sister, and took her husband to Wenlock Hospital at night, but the doctors said he had already died, she said. She stated that the corona report was received by then, and he was corona negative.

Learning that Ravishankar was being brought to Mangaluru from Bengaluru for treatment, a youth Congress war room team rushed to help him but by the time they reached Wenlock Hospital, they got information that he had died. Youth Congress district president, Luqman Bantwal, said that they have provided facility for his funeral.

Kavita said she is not in a position to take her husband's body back to Bengaluru by arranging a vehicle. She said once the close relatives arrive from Bengaluru, the funeral would be held in the city itself.

Entire healthcare delivery system is defunct here. Health authorities are not monitoring positive cases. Isolation is not done as per protocol. Neighbors and society is not informed on isolation. I took up the matter with District Health Officer but no response. Escalated the matter to Deputy Commissioner as Chair Person of District Disaster Management Committee. Two weeks over. No response from top most official of the district. This zero response from responsible officials is a disaster...!

It is truely unfortunate that people in Bangalore are dying because of lack of medical facilities Many precious lives are lost because of lack of facilities. It has been repeatedly reported, even Dr. Edward Nazareth has mentioned in his articles on daijiworld that the RTPCR test can be false negative in 30% to 40% of COVID infected patients. When the patients show any sign of upper respiratory tract infection, it has to be considered as COVID POSITIVE in the pandemic. This is known as 'syndromic diagnosis'. It may be better not to wait till the situation starts deteriorating.. It is high time that the people in the city, if affordable can to go to other cities where facilities are available to treat COVID patients.

Very sad.how people are struggling to get a bed in hospital and hospitals are blocking them to get extras or through agents to ahve a bed.All are in this scheme involved.Poor patients have to die or suffer in this struggle.Ministers are saying no lack of beds and no lac of oxygen .Bring these ministers and let them ask where are their beds and answer this lady. All are thieves.Other side I feel this deceased man was not having corona but hear tailments? Some heart at tack?Could clear only after examining. But had no time to check no doctor or hospital to check.it.If only some oxygen would have saved his life. All are playing game on patients life.no love for next one.only money matters.Heartfelt sympathies to the lady and family.May his soul rest in peace. As we believe in religion hope on the last day of our judgement in Heaven ,all truth will come out and find out who was wrong and did wrong to whom .

Need to stop this RTPCR tests to end pandemic first of all RTPCR Tests seems many false positive and negative also. And it may detect covid 19 and past, present future corona viruses (common cold and seasonal flu ) as positive raising fear of virus. Finally people may die fear of virus than real virus. Most deaths are looks like due to lack of required medical assistance for serious and critical patients as mild and medium infections choke medical infrastructure. For creating this medical chaos and people to go for vaccination t communists and global elites' this evil agenda and to rake businesss out of It. These Big billionaires dont bother about common man's health but they are concerned only about business. Also these RTPCR numbers aid shutdowns that is what these communist chinese want to break economies. They have made billions selling all these years cheap rate items which goes for garbage after two three weeks. Now these communists chinese want to collapse other nations economy (with this virus and their masterminded RTPCR tests) and to bring them under their control. That's their evil agenda to control the world.

More than vaccine I think we need a change in leadership. There is total chaos and international leaders agree that it was poor planning which lead to this chaos.

Shame on Government of Karnataka and Government of India for not providing life saving treatment to indian citizens. Utterly failure of government, If you cant provide life saving health facilities it would be better step down and give opportunities to others. President of india should sack all the government for another 6 month and hand over to indian military to control the situation. Under the militory rules there will be good governance for all the citizens of india, They will treat everyone same irrespective of caste, religion, poor and rich. Those who are not giving accounts of PM care fund that was donated by the poeple of india what you can expect from the leaders. Political leaders keep us busy fighting for the Mandir and Masjid to divert attention from real situation. Did any one ask how many hospitals and heal care centres present government constructed from last 5 years? what is their future plan for Covid 3rd and 4th waves if any god forbid.

Our 8 private medical colleges are blocking their ICU beds for non covid cases when the blocked beds are not occupied!!!! This is a crime , there is a covid patient waiting for an ICU bed and the bed which is unoccupied is blocked!!!!! What nonsense is this - the government should send nodal officers to each of these private medical college hospitals and nursing homes to check the bed status.

As people roaming freely unnecessarily authotites difficult to identify who needed help the most. Announce state emergency. Let only medical team work freely and able to give treatment in nice way. Due to rush all over they themselves are confused the most. On other hand people who indulge in black marketing put them behind bar for at least ten years by imposing hefty fine of two lakhs or more.
