Mangalore, Aug 11:  Department of Paediatrics, A J Institute of Medical Sciences in association with Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IPA), DK Branch jointly celebrated ‘Teenage Day’ with support from Prashanth Shetty, director of A J Group of Institutions at Beary’s Public School, Lady Hill here, recently.

Dr Pavan Hegde, professor of Paediatrics and joint- secretary of Karnataka State
IAP and Dr Smruthi Chabra, assistant professor of psychiatry were the chief guests. Dr
Santhosh Soans, professor and head of the department of Paediatrics and vice- president, central IAP presided.

Teenage Day related activities like health camps, poster competition, seminars on problems related to adolescents were arranged during the programme.

Dr Pavan Hegde explained various health problems and how to tackle these problems and Dr Smruthi Chabra spoke about the psycho- social problems among teenagers. Seminar was followed by interactive sessions with students.
