Mumbai: Young constable succumbs to Covid-19

Mumbai, May 10: A young police constable from Bandra police station succumbed to Covid-19 on Saturday, May 8. The death of the 33 year old constable took the toll in the Mumbai police force to 113.

On April 25, Muradali Patel was admitted to hospital after he ran a fever. He had no comorbidities. “He was on oxygen support but his vitals were stable on Saturday morning,” said a senior officer. Later in the day, Patel said to have had developed difficulty in breathing.

He yielded to the virus on Saturday. A sub inspector and a constable also died of Covid the same day.
