Israel-Gaza tension continues, death toll of Palestinians climbs to 83

Gaza, May 14 (IANS): Tension between Israel and militant groups in the Gaza Strip continued on Thursday, while the Hamas-run health ministry officials said the death toll in the besieged coastal enclave has climbed to 83.

The health ministry in Gaza said in a short text message sent to reporters that since the start of tension on Monday, 83 Palestinians were killed, including 17 children and seven women, adding that 487 were injured.

On Thursday, hundreds of Palestinian mourners joined the funeral of nine top militants of the armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), who were killed in the Israeli aerial attacks on the enclave, the Xinhua news agency reported.

While carrying the bodies, wrapped by Palestinian flags and Hamas green flags, on their shoulders, the mourners chanted slogans that called on militants in the Gaza Strip to revenge for their killing.

Overnight and on Thursday morning, Hamas armed wing militants and other minor groups continued firing barrages of rockets from Gaza into central and southern Israel.

Since the start of escalation on Monday, Gaza militants fired more than 1,600 rockets into Israel, while the Israeli army said it struck over 600 targets of Gaza militants' facilities and posts.

Local media outlets in the Gaza Strip said that regional and international efforts to end the growing tension and reach a truce between the two sides had not achieved any progress yet.

This is the problem when religion comes before the country. That is one reason Bhaima Congress is losing stand almost everywhere and wins only in certain constituencies . Appeasement of such factions that supports groups like Hamas will only lead to sending wrong signals. Thus widening the gaps of voters further on religion grounds.

The logic is simple of these Hamas and their supporters worldwide. Its the common factor. Create ruckus and destruction everywhere , when cornered and rear ended , play the victim card. Just name one immigrant destination that is without any issues??. UK, Sweden, France, US, Canada all have bombings and attacks. Innocent wemen and children are not spared. The irony is , they are not happy in any country they are in majority . So they migrate to other countries and then try to turn the host country into the country they have come from. Come on!!!!!!

Not only Hamas , if you go back since the days of Taliban, Al qaeda ISIS , they are all the creation of western powers in order to achieve their self goals . They fund, supply arms make to destroy their own country , kill their own people and mislead the world from their own powerful media by linking them to partiicular religion. Any wise person can understand the agenda behind instability across the world.

hamas is a terrorist organization..Even Yasser Arafat did not like them. They are funded by Arabs indirectly. Shameless buggers are keeping women and children as shield. That shows how coward these extremists are. Their game will not work in front of a strong nation like Israel.

We should find out who are funding these terrorists and which country is supplying these useless rockets, 1600 rockets is not a small no. As the policy of the world leaders is not to support any government which sponsors terrorism. These hamas terrorists mighty be cursing the guys who supplied them with these rockets. Five years during president Trumps tenor there was peace in this region, why terrorist activities started now.
