Mangalore, Aug 16: Mandd Sobhann’s ‘The Carvalho Gharanne – Thomas Stephen Konkanni Kendr Kalaakaar Puraskar – 2010’ will be awarded on Sunday December 5 on the occasion the of first world Konkani Cultural convention at Kalaangann, Shaktinagar here. 

This is the sixth year that the award is being presented. Further, it has been decided that a deserving artiste of Karnataka origin who has contributed the maximum towards the enrichment of Konkani performing arts (theatre or music or folk-arts), will be selected for the award.

Award comprises Rs 25,000 in cash, a citation letter and a trophy. Applications / recommendations along with a photo, the list of achievements, proof and paper cuttings are expected to be sent latest by Wednesday September 15 addressed to:
