Modi government committed to farmers' welfare since day one: Nadda

New Delhi, May 20 (IANS): The BJP on Wednesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the increase in the subsidy for Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer by 140 percent, and said the move will ensure that the farmers get fertilizers at old rates despite international price rise.

Welcoming the decision, BJP chief J.P. Nadda tweeted, "Thank you Narendra Modi ji for taking a historic farmer-friendly decision to increase fertilizer subsidy. Farmers to get a subsidy of Rs 700 on per bag of DAP, they will get a bag of DAP for Rs 1,200 instead of Rs 2,400."

Nadda further tweeted, "Since day one, Modi government has been committed to the welfare of the farmers. By increasing the subsidy, the government will bear an additional expenditure of Rs 15,000 crore. Prime Minister Modi is empowering the farmers through welfare schemes like Kisan Samman Nidhi, Kisan Credit Card and many others."

BJP National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha member Bhupendra Yadav tweeted, "The Centre has hiked DAP subsidy by 140 percent from Rs 500 to Rs 1,200. The BJP government will spend about Rs 14,775 crore more on it as PM Narendra Modi ji wants Indian farmers to get fertilizers at old rates despite international price rise."

"Despite the price of DAP bags rising to Rs 2,400, farmers will get it at Rs 1,200 as the BJP government is committed to farmers' welfare. This is the second major decision for farmers after the direct transfer of Rs 20,667 crore under PM-KISAN on Akshaya Tritiya," Yadav added.

The Union government on Wednesday increased the subsidy on DAP fertilizer from Rs 500 per bag to Rs 1,200 per bag, an increase of 140 per cent, which means despite the rise in the international market price of DAP, it would continue to be sold at the old rate of Rs 1,200. The amount of subsidy per bag has never been increased so much at one go.

It is clear to the people of our country that these three farm bills was a dubious case of match fixing by Modi and Amit Shah for their crony capitalists friends like Ambani and Adani. The elaborate advance preparations , go downs, super markets, land acquisitions and other arrangements by industrialists Abmani and Adani are already in the public domain. These crony capitalists will then dominate the agriculture sector and render the farmers vulnerable and vanquished. The BJP Govt has made a mockery of Parlimentary holders into confidence. They finally passed it in the Rajya Sabha in a most deceitful manner through a voice vote just to please their Crony Capitalist friends at the expense of the Farmers. A Suit Boot Ki Sarkar that is totally insensitive, Callous, Indifferent, Arrogant and Autocratic that cares two hoots for the lower sections of our society including farmers. If Agriculture is a State subject the why has the center passed Bills on Farm Laws on Agriculture.

Mr. Nadda, Is that day one from tomorrow or from 2014?? I think we have to ask how many days already gone since 2014, from a blind bhakth sitting in Andheri ka andher. If bhakths like him know that a day consists only 24 hours, we could have went forward since 2014. But all BJPeee and blind bhakth thinks that 1 day is equal to 2400000000000 hours, and they still counting those 50 days to brink bank the black and looted money since 60 years, put those looters behind the bars and get 15 lacs to their bank account for free. Mr. Nadda, do you think all Indians are blind like Cow people??
