Mangalore: Winners of Children’s ‘Konkani Kala Pratibhotsav’ Announced

Mangalore, Aug 17:
The district-level Konkani Kala Pratibhotsav, cultural competitions for children and youth, was held on Monday August 16 and Tuesday August 17 at the Town Hall here.
 
In all, 198 children participated in fine arts, folk dance, and one-act plays on Monday while 13 children participated in light music, folk singing, quiz, and public speaking competitions on Tuesday.
 
Under the fine arts category and ‘Bala Pratibe’ division, Canute D’Souza, student of Rosa Mistica English Medium High School, Kinnikambla, bagged the first place while Sriraksha, student of Canara English Medium School, Kodialbail, and Anirudd Kamat bagged the second and third place, respectively.

 

Under ‘Kishora Pratibe’ division, Mangala Nayak, student of Canara Girls’ School, bagged the first place while Ashay Jagdish Goli, student of Canara Pre-university College, and Smita P Kamat, student of Canara Girls’ School, bagged second and third place, respectively.
 
Under ‘Yuva Pratibe’ division, Gourish Mallya, student of Canara First Grade College, bagged the first place while Venkatesh Nayak and Abhijit Shenoy, both students of Canara First Grade College, bagged the second and third place, respectively.
 
Under the folk dance category and Bala Pratibe division, Fevisha Venisha Monteiro and group of Nityadar English Medium School, Permannur, secured the first place while Ashray Nayak and group of Government Pre-University College, Kombettu, Puttur, and Kaveri and group of Kuloor parish Higher Primary School, secured the second and third place, respectively.
 
Under Kishora Pratibe division, Joyson and group of Nityadar English Medium School, Permannur, secured the first place while Varnana Pai and Wilma Marina Monteiro group of St Philomena High School, Darbe, Puttur, bagged the second and third place, respectively.
 
Under the one-act play competition and Bala Pratibe category, Shreya Prabhu of Canara English Medium School, Kodialbail, bagged the first place while Ashwini Hegde of Canara English Medium School and Bharati Prabhu of Sudhana Residential School, Puttur, bagged the second and third place, respectively.
 
Under Kishora Pratibe division, Lavel D’Silva of Rosa Mistica English Medium School, Kinnikambla, secured the first place, while Aniketan D’Souza of St Philomena High School, Puttur, and Fiona Crystal Mascarenhas of St Victor’s Girls High School, Puttur, secured the second and third place, respectively.
 
Under Sugama Sangeet category and Bala Pratibe division, Ashray Nayak of government Pre-University College, Kobettu, Puttur, bagged the first place while Dayakar Bhat of Canara High School, Dongarakeri, and Megha Pai of Canara High School, Urwa, secured the second and third place, respectively.
 
Under Kishora Pratibe division, Pallavi Prabhu of Canara High School, Urwa, bagged the first place, while Lavita Sequeira of Rosa Mistica English Medium High School, Kinnikambla, secured the second place.
 
Under Yuva Pratibe division, Shalini Pai of Canara Pre-University College, bagged the first place, while Keertan Sujeer Nayak and Malavika Kamat, both of Canara Pre-University College, bagged the second and third place, respectively.
 
Under the folk singing category and Bala Pratibe category, Queeny Gonsalves of St Victor’s English Medium School, Puttur, bagged the first place while Anuradha Nayak of Vivekanand English Medium School, Puttur, and Venessa Fernandes of Little Flower Higher Primary School, Bajpe, bagged the second and third place, respectively.
 
Under Kishora Pratibe division, Pallavi Prabhu of Canara High School, bagged the first place while Laveena Sequeira of Rosa Mistica English Medium School, Kinnikambla, and Joyson Floson Lobo of Nityadar English Medium School, Permannur, bagged the second and third place, respectively.
 
In quiz competitions under Bala Pratibe division, Reesha Snehal Monis of St Victor’s English Medium Higher Primary School, Puttur, bagged the first place while Anuradha Nayak of Vivekanand English Medium School, Puttur, bagged second place.  P Dayakar Bhat and B Pranav Baliga of Canara High School, Dongarakeri, shared third place.
 
Under Kishora Pratibe division, Daniel Lloyd D’Souza of Rosa Mistica English Medium High School, Kinnikambla, bagged the first place, while Wilson Misquith and Lavel D’Silva of Rosa Mistica English Medium High School, Kinnikambla, bagged the second and third place, respectively.
 
The prizes will be presented to winners by the dignitaries during the ‘Konkani Manyata Divas’ celebrations scheduled to be held here on Friday August 20.
 
All the winners have qualified to compete in the state-level competitions.  The winners of district-level Kala Pratibotsav in Udupi and Karwar districts will compete along with the winners of Dakshina Kannada district.  This competition will be held at Bhuvanendra High School, Karkala, on Thursday September 9.
