Ravi Bhatia: Playing a gangster was fun, challenging

Mumbai, May 21 (IANS): Actor Ravi Bhatia, who plays a gangster in the web series "Shukla The Tiger", says he finds the role fun and challenging because of its interesting character graph.

"It was a fun as well as a challenging character to portray. My role is inspired from a gangster named Shri Shiv Prakash Shukla in late nineties, in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was just 21 when he started killing people and died at the age of 25. He was the biggest and most famous gangster at that point of time. He stood for justice when his sister was molested," he says.

"We are in the midst of a pandemic and I was a little unsure about my series reaching the audience. But I'm happy that my actor friends Shaheer Sheikh, Sidharth Nigam, Faisal Khan, Harsh Rajput, Ansh Pandit and many others supported me. Our series received a lot of attention and appreciation in the first week itself. The project was special for me as I took the responsibility entirely right from post to pitch," he says.

Ravi, is known for featuring in television shows like "Jodha Akbar", "Ishq Subhan Allah" and "Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se".
