May 22: Dakshina Kannada reports 913 fresh corona cases, 849 in Udupi; 14 deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 22: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 913 fresh coronavirus cases on Saturday. The alarming rise in the number of new cases has pushed the total number of positive cases to 69,440. This further has raised the number of active cases to 10,375.

A total of 8,24,105 samples have been tested. Out of which 7,54,665 are negative.

As many as 927 people were discharged on Saturday, A total of 854 deaths have occurred so far, including nine on Saturday.

Around Rs 58,40,030 in fines have collected for 55,904 mask violations in the district.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 51,752 including 849 fresh cases on Saturday. Out of these, 5640 cases are currently active.

Over 5,62,531 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 1164 patients were discharged on Saturday. A total of 298 deaths have occurred so far, including Five on Saturday.
