Bengaluru, May 22: Karnataka on Saturday May 22, registered 31,183 fresh coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 4,83,204. Bengaluru Urban reported 8,214 cases in a single day.
As many as 451 deaths due to coronavirus were reported on Saturday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 200 deaths and Bengaluru Rural 35 standing second. With this, the toll so far has risen to 24,658.
The state recorded 61,766 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 18,91,042.
So far, Karnataka has seen 23,98,925 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 24.21%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.44%.
As many as 1,20,08,005 people have received vaccination so far.
