Kasargod, May 24: In two different accidents that occurred in the district, two people lost their lives while one suffered injuries.
In the first incident, a serial accident, in which a scooter, an auto rickshaw and a car were involved at Vidyanagar, one youth lost his life. The deceased is identified as Mohammed Shakir (21), resident of Korakkod Bilal Nagar in the city. An auto rickshaw collided with the scooter which the deceased was riding. The rider of the scooter lost control and hit a car. A seriously injured Shakir, rider of the scooter, was immediately shifted to hospital in the city. However, he succumbed to the injuries. The auto rickshaw which caused the accident is confiscated by the police, while the driver of the car involved in the accident escaped from the spot.

Deceased Shakir, who was employed in gulf, had come back to native some time back and had started a business of mobile phones in the city.
A case in this connection is registered at Vidyanagar police station.
In one more accident that took place between two bikes, a man, employed in gulf, lost his life. This accident occurred at Badiyadka.
The deceased is identified as Abdul Razak (32), resident of Kanyana in Badiyadka. Pillion Sanjeeva (25) is seriously injured and is admitted to hospital in Mangaluru.
The accident occurred on the night of Sunday at Pilankatte Mill near Badiyadka. Though both the rider and pillion of the bike were taken to Mangaluru after giving first aid in the city, Razak succumbed to his injuries.
A case in this connection is registered at Badiyadka police station.
