Beltangady, May 25: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, D K Shivakumar, has urged union minister D V Sadananda Gowda, to negotiate with the central government the matter of providing medicines which act against Black Fungus and White Fungus infections, to Karnataka.
Shivakumar had visited Dharmasthala on Monday May 24. He spoke to the media persons on that occasion. He accused Sadananda Gowda of creating tensions in the minds of the people by issuing confusing statements. He charged the state government of not having exact details about these cases. He demanded that the central government should release the necessary medicines without delay.
Shivakumar expressed his party's readiness to cooperate with the state government on the issue of Covid19 vaccine distribution.
When his attention was drawn to the allegation that MRPL had recruited people from outside the state for vacancies there, he demanded to put on hold the current appointments and take steps to hire locals as per Sarojini Mahishi committee report.
Party leaders Harish Kumar, Vasanth bangera, Ranjan G Gowda, Shylesh Kumar and others were present.
