Udupi, Aug 19: The local MLA Raghupati Bhat while on his rounds to the city on Thursday August 19 viewed the various civic amenities.

MLA Raghupati Bhat observed a few lapses – petty shops encroaching the city streets and unhygienic toilets.  He advised the municipal officers, in order to make alternative arrangements for petty shopkeepers, lay the inter-locks on footpaths for the pedestrians’ easy movement. He also said that the town will have improved facilities.

Town councilor Kiran Kumar, vice-president Bharati Chandrashekar, municipal commissioner Gokuldas Nayak, municipal engineer Ganesh and other municipal officers were present.
